A University of Arizona organization kicked off its first Mental Health Awareness Week at the UA campus on Monday. Active Minds placed 1,100 flags on the UA Mall to honor the more than 1,100 people who commit suicide on college campuses every year. Throughout the week, there will be various activities, panels and presentations to spread awareness of mental health issues. The awareness week will be held through Friday, April 1.
