- Total Hours: Figure out how many hours you can give each day. Number of hours may be different for weekdays and weekend.
- Divide into blocks: Do not plan to study 6 hours at a stretch. It is better to study in blocks of 2 to 3 hours with breaks in between.
- Be Practical: Be practical while making a time table. For example, do not plan to get up at 5 am and study if you are not a morning person. Make a time-table that suits you.
- Difficulty level: Try to allocate the first one to two hours for easy to medium level study material so that you can warm up. Starting with reading the news paper might be suitable for many. After that you can devote time to medium to difficult level study material. The last one or two hours should be devoted to relatively easier study material as you would be tired by then.
- Set goals: Set daily, weekly monthly goals. Put these in your time-table. This will help you studied in a more focussed manner.
- Keep track: Keep track of how much you are following the time table everyday. Write down in a notebook when you do not study when you were supposed to. This will help you follow the time-table.
- Modify: You may feel the need to study more as the exam approaches, increase the number of hours to be studied.
