- Regularly check deals sites like Travelzoo, Groupon and Living Social. The limited-time offers often are prepaid and nonrefundable, but many resorts put their lowest prices there and/or throw in extra perks. This week, The Boulders, JW Marriott Camelback Inn, The Wigwam, JW Marriott Desert Ridge, Hilton Scottsdale Gainey Suites and Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas had deals on Travelzoo. On Groupon, there were deals for Omni Scottsdale at Montelucia, The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch and We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center.
- Check your favorite resorts' Facebook pages for promotions and special offers.
- Sign up for resorts' email offers or newsletters. Hotel Valley Ho and others give subscribers early notice on sales.
- Ask about AAA and AARP discounts.
- Stay in August. Vacation season is over for Arizona families with school-age children so you'll have your pick of places, rooms, perks and shaded lounge chairs by the pool, all at the lowest price of the summer.
