Pearson tips Foxes for title

Danny Drinkwater

GETTY READY Drinkwater has been impressive for Leicester this year

Pearson has had far more time[1] than he would have wished to contemplate the circumstances behind his unwanted role in the story of this football season, a victim of the sordid incident that led to him being relieved of his duties as Leicester City manager before their astonishing title challenge under Claudio Ranieri, his successor.

Paul Merson has poured cold water on talk of Arsenal winning the Premier League title this season.

It was suggested that his relationship with the club's owners broke down after his son James Pearson was sacked, along with two other young players, following a sex tape filmed on a close-season tour of Thailand[2].

Pearson, who is responsible for bringing numerous players to Leicester, including Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, wants partial credit for this season's impressive form. They also have momentum after just coming off of a 2-1 win over Manchester City.

Pearson said Leicester had progressed in a way "I don't think anyone envisaged" and added: "They'll win it. I think they'll win the Premier League, because they won't be distracted by the hype".

After their crushing defeat against Arsenal, Ranieri said: "We make a little gamble with my players and they say to me, 'If we make nine points will you give us one week away?"

The former Djurgårdens IF defender has already featured for the Leicester City U21's playing in their League games against Reading and Manchester City.

However, a shocking season has seen the team part ways with controversial manager Jose Mourinho and struggle to remain in the top half of the tables with hopes of a Champions League spot dashed long ago.

With 12 matches to go, the English Premier League title race is nearing its climax.

And even though Sunday's match left my heart in my mouth; the thrill of getting the win on the last shot of the game is another orgasmic feeling altogether!

He says he would have no desire to attend the ground to celebrate their success if they do go on to win the title, saying there are some at the club he would not be happy for. Leicester have got no fear. After finishing in the top two positions in every one of the last four seasons, they certainly know how to get the job done and finish on top.
